Pre-Marital Counseling
Equipping couples with the tools to build a foundation of love, trust, and intimacy.
Preparing for marriage is one of the most exciting and meaningful steps in a couple’s journey together. However, while many couples spend countless hours planning a one-day wedding, investing in the knowledge and skills necessary for a thriving, long-term marriage is often overlooked. With the divorce rate at nearly 50%, who is teaching young couples evidence-based skills for a loving, passionate, sustainable relationship? You may have a wedding planner; who is your pre-marital counselor?
I am passionate about helping young couples build a strong foundation for their future together, equipping them with evidence-based tools to navigate challenges and joys. Working with me, you will learn evidence-based skills from the doctors John and Julie Gottman’s Couples Method and Sue Johnson’s Emotional Focused Therapy. You will be equipped with skills to address attachment needs, foster open and responsive communication, resolve conflict constructively, and deepen emotional intimacy while building trust and shared meaning in a partnership. Pre-marital counseling equips couples with practical tools to positively navigate the ups and downs of a committed relationship instead of waiting until the marriage is in crisis.
Premarital counseling is an investment in your relationship beyond the wedding day. It’s about building a connection that grows deeper and stronger over time. By prioritizing this preparation, you’re setting yourselves up for a fulfilling, intentional marriage rooted in mutual respect, understanding, and love.
If you and your partner are considering engagement or are already engaged, please reach out for a 30-minute consultation; I’d love to support you as you enter the most significant decision of your life.
